Datahub visioning workshop for the 1million farmers’ Platform

Kuza participated in a Datahub visioning Workshop jointly hosted by Mercy Corps Agrifin program, Dalberg, KALRO & the World Bank at Hotel Radisson Blu, Nairobi.  The Workshop started with a presentation and a facilitated discussion that allowed participants to share perspectives on the data hub vision and objectives, and provide inspiration from other contexts. This session was facilitated by KALRO,  World Bank & Dalberg. This was followed by a team-based activity, facilitated by Dalberg to develop ideal farmer profiles, including data needs, requirements, and constraints, to support participants’ innovation objectives.

The afternoon session unfolded with a team-based activity to conceptualize the MVP of the data hub, focusing on the highest priority use cases and data needs. This was followed by an exercise to develop a roadmap for the data repository including major workstreams, roles and responsibilities, and high-level technology and user requirements. Before the Closing review of the day’s session, a team-based deep-dive into key roadmap activities was done to inform a detailed work plan with clear milestones, dependencies, next steps, roles, and responsibilities.
