Who is the Four-Hour Farmer?

For 15 years, Kuza One (Kuza Biashara) has built programmes and digital tools for smallholder households across Africa and Asia. Most of what our industry builds is designed for a full-time farmer. Someone who wakes up a farmer, works all day a farmer, and goes to sleep a farmer.

In two decades in rural households, our Founder and Chief Mentor Sriram Bharatam has never met her.

Today at 5:30 PM Kigali time, he takes that gap to the TEDx Kigali Youth stage. One woman in western Kenya. Three versions of her on three different systems. And a question our sector has never put on a dashboard.
